Delicatessen product obtained from the back, belly or breast of a pig.

There are two types. The type obtained near the back area is called Back Bacon (fillet) or Canadian Bacon. The relatively oily one obtained from the flank and breast of the animal is called Streaky Bacon (Striped Bacon). In European countries such as England and Canada, bacon from pork loin is widely consumed, while bacon from pork flank is more common in the United States.
