Daisy Duck is one of Walt Disney's cartoon and comic book characters. She was created as Donald Duck's girlfriend. He first appeared in the cartoon "Mr Duck Steps Out" in 1940. Daisy Donald has an angry character but is able to control her better. Daisy rarely bursts into anger, though not as much as Donald, and her temper tends to be more sophisticated than her boyfriend. She mostly doesn't wear pants or a dress herself. She is portrayed as someone who has a strong affinity for Donald. Daisy (or represents a more advanced form, according to some sources) is replaced by a short-lived precocious lover named Donna Duck, who first appeared in the 1937 cartoon Don Donald. In 1951, Donna returned in the comic series, portrayed as a Mexican female duck unrelated to her previous position, serving as a rival to Donald's feelings.
