Line: It can be straight or curved, continuous or cut, grainy or sharp. Lines can convey some messages, depending on their character or location.
Vertical line: Dignity
Horizontal line Recession
Curvy line: Victory
Dialogue line: Vitality
Tone: It is to show the texture of the surface to be emphasized with the help of light in order to create the impression of three-dimensionality in people.
Color: Colors can evoke different emotions in the person according to their psychological meanings.
Texture: It is a formal order based on repetitions on the surface.
Form: It is the combination of lines, the turns and folds in a single line, and the surfaces formed by different tones.
Dimension: It is the necessity of visual elements to be in a certain order.
Direction: Lines and points on a design create a movement by orienting to different points. The designer is responsible for directing this movement in line with the effect it will give.
There are five basic principles of a design.
1) Balance
2) Proportion and visual hierarchy
3) Visual continuity
4) Integrity
5) Highlight
These five basic principles should be considered in design studies. While the design is being prepared, balance, proportion and visual continuity should be given with a good emphasis in unity.
