Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is an American politician, the 67th Secretary of State of the United States. Hillary Rodham Clinton, married to the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, served as First Lady during her husband's presidency from 1993-2001. She then represented the state of New York in the US Senate from 2001-2009. He ran for the 2008 US presidential election on January 20, 2007, but narrowly lost the primary election to Barack Obama. He became the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party for the 2016 US presidential election and won the primary elections.
