The very famous sign of Hollywood, which holds the cinema industry of this world and plays as it wishes, was interestingly built for a reason that has nothing to do with cinema, and has become a very important visual symbol. With the first studio called Nestor, established in 1910, and with word of mouth that the climate of the region is very productive, movie studios flocked to the region, and the San Fernando Valley gained value as people such as Cecil B Demille and D W Griffith Settled in the region and set up their studios. Harry Chandler, who already owns a significant portion of the area and also owns the Los Angeles Times newspaper, had the sign made, each letter about 15 meters high, illuminated by 4000 20-watt lamps, and costing $21,000, to advertise the hollywoodland real estate firm.
