The jaguar (Panthera Onca), from the Feline family (Felidae), is a carnivorous predatory mammal. A significant part of this animal, which is one of the largest cats in South America, is today found in remote areas of South and Central America, especially in the Amazon Basin. The jaguar is called the new world cat.

Many cat species such as tigers, leopards, pumas and panthers, especially lions known as the king of the forests, have written their names in the big cats class. The name jaguar is derived from the word yaguar. This word means one who kills with one leap. Rose-shaped black spots on an orange-tan color make his skin look extremely magnificent. There are also completely black ones.

These predatory hunters, which we frequently encounter in documentaries, usually live alone. They are so strong and courageous that no animal in nature would attempt to attack a jaguar. These dangerous creatures, which are the enemies of all kinds of animals, also attack people. In short, they are animals of nature that cannot be challenged. Although they are not as big as lions and tigers, their strong musculature has added this aggression ability to them. They are not as fast as tigers, but they are considered very good swimmers just like them.

These fearsome cats, which have existed for two million years, are unfortunately hunted for their stunningly beautiful skin. For this reason, the biggest threat to them is people. Powerful enough to lift a young cow to the top of a tree, this predator can punch holes in its prey's head with its strong jaw structure and teeth. Thus, it neutralizes the brain of its prey and distinguishes it from other cats with this unusual method of killing.
