The first
Manga was published as an 850-page magazine. This magazine contains serial chapters from many comics. Before long, these magazines began to be made into books, and successful stories were collected one by one and sold as books known as tankōbon.
When Did the Manga Come Out?
Modern Manga: It appeared for the first time after World War II. In the 1920s, the Japanese began printing magazines illustrating entertainment-oriented stories. With Japan's participation in World War II, Manga appealed to all ages and began to be used for propaganda against the enemy. After the defeat of Japan and, unfortunately, the dropping of nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the country found solace in different stories.
