Thinking Man

The thinking man, one of the most famous sculptures in the world, is often used as a symbol of philosophical thought. It is a large version of a small plaster figure made by Rodin to place on top of Hell's Gate. Rodin completed the first bronze casting of the sculpture, of which he produced many versions, in 1904. This first version is now in the Rodin Museum in Paris.
