Waterfalls or cascades are formations formed by water falling from a height due to the great height difference in the bed of a river. This formation occurs in different ways. It may occur through the rupture of stream beds, glaciation and metamorphosis due to other reasons. Or it may occur during different periods of erosion and formation of the streambed.

There are magnificent waterfalls in the world that are flooded by millions of tourists every year. The most important of these are the 979-meter-high Angel Falls in Venezuela, the 948-meter-high Tugela Falls in South Africa, and the 739-meter-high Yosemite Falls in the United States. In addition, Niagara Falls in America, which is a very popular waterfall, is 49 meters high.
