Fossil records dating back 450 million years prove how deep a past starfish have. Because
starfish are very fragile and prone to fragmentation, the remains found are not very detailed. Only spines and ossicles have survived to the present day.
Due to its very impressive symmetry and beauty, it has been the subject of many designs, legends, literature and has become a part of our culture. It is a common tradition to collect fossils as a collection, as they have a beautiful stance with their aesthetically colored images and forms.
