Teddy Bear PNG Transparent
Theodore Roosevelt, one of the former US presidents, organized a trip to the southern states in 1903 in order to end the ongoing border problem between Louisiana and Mississippi and to mediate.
Knowing that Roosevelt was fond of bear hunting, the local people found a baby bear and organized a small-scale hunt. But what is it?
An unexpected reaction comes from Roosevelt. He spares the bear's life and strongly opposes this event.
After the incident became the subject of a cartoon in the Washington Post, Russian immigrant Morris Michtom, impressed by the story, tells his wife Rose to make a plush bear. Together with the cartoon drawn by Berryman published in the Washington Post, he places this teddy bear in the window of the shop he owns in Brooklyn.
After making the first bear, Michtom doesn't want to miss this great commercial opportunity and writes to Roosevelt. Michtom requests permission to continue production under the name "Teddy Bear". Roosevelt welcomes and approves this idea, which immortalizes his name.
"Teddy Bear", which took the place of other dolls in a short time with the rapidly increasing production until 1908, manages to write its name in history with golden letters. Moreover, he still has not lost his throne to anyone.
